SPACE AND MATERIALITY

Todays class started off with us explaining our material journals (collection of various materials that we encounter categorised under linear, planar and granular).
The session turned out a lot fun and informative as a whole. We were informed about tons of materials, their characteristics and usage.
After this informative session we started discussing about grips (a firm hold or tight grasp). We discussed about a variety of grips and the friction involved.
After we understood what grip actually is, we were instructed to jot down a couple of grips that we encounter on daily basis.
After jotting down a few grips we discussed them with the entire class and further decided if they are right or wrong. We then differentiated between touch, force and grip. It was fun discussing with each other and learning about new terms and grips.
Post this we were instructed to make quick sketches of any ten grips from our list.
