OBJECTS AS HISTORY (Class – 10)

The class was about the Crusades. Crusade came from the Latin word for cloth cross. The purpose of the Crusade was to recapture the Christian lands that had been invaded by the Muslims.

The Crusades were a series of military missions which was organized and promoted by the Pope and the Roman Catholic Church. This series of military missions took place from the 11th century A.D. to the 13th century A.D. The symbol of the Crusades was the Christian cross. They believed that the cross made them invincible against the armies of the Muslims.
